About myself...what to say.

I'm a lifelong nerd/geek, or whatever you'd like to call it. I grew up in the Pacific Northwest and have lived there my entire life. I love all things nerd/geek, especially sci-fi and gaming.

My interests, in terms of writing for Noise Shark Media, are movies, television, gaming, and music. My first love has always been, and I imagine always will be, music. I grew up in a music family: my granddad was a singer in his teens and early twenties, my dad is a talented guitar player, as are my uncles. I love most genres of music with the exception of country. I enjoy some rap, but not a lot of it. My heart lies with classical rock and alternative. I had the privilege of meeting and becoming friends with Goldy McJohn from Steppenwolf last summer on a plane ride from Philadelphia to Seattle.

My second love are movies, especially Charlie Chaplin and anything Robert Downey Jr. I also love to game, although I don’t always have the time I would like to be able to play more. My favorite games are from the Total War series.

I’m very excited to be writing for Noise Shark. Hopefully I don’t piss off too many of you with my articles, but if so, suck it up and don’t be a sheep shagger.

What’s Next for the Total War Series? Rome 2 and Beyond

With the recent release of Total War: Shogun 2 Fall of the Samurai, speculation is running rapid  as to what the next Total War title will be. It seems to me that it’s a foregone conclusion that the next titled will be Rome 2. With that in mind, I think it’s fair to speculate what Rome 2 might look [...]

Mystery with No Explanation: A Review of J. Edgar

On paper, this movie looked like it should have been amazing. With Clint Eastwood directing and Leonardo DiCaprio starring, I had very high expectations. The subject matter itself suggested that it should have been an amazing movie. J. Edgar Hoover, one of the most interesting people of the [...]

To Boldly Go Back to Television: The Need for a New Star Trek Television Series

Over the past two years, a friend and I have had intermittent conversations about the glory days of an abundance of Star Trek on television and which series was truly the best. We both agree in our love for TNG, but for me, that’s where it stops. As a kid, I was never able to get into DS9 or [...]

Summer Movie Preview: The Anderson Edition

As I poked my head out of my apartment door, much like the groundhog on February 2nd, I thought to myself, bloody hell, it’s freezing. But then I saw a glimmer of light. No, it wasn’t the sun, because the dark Bellingham sky has kept it hidden since November. It was, however, the headlights of the [...]
